Have you ever wondered if everything in Japan is as cute as it is portrayed in anime and media? Well, we did. We wanted to explore the land of the rising sun and see if everything that we saw in various anime series that we watched was true. We moved to Japan and enjoyed every minute of it!
For a fan of anime and kawaii culture, Japan is a dream come true. Dedicated anime stores, anime movie releases, various museums, Kawaii themed cafes, special exhibitions, and access to exclusive anime merchandise. We visited a Sanrio store at least once a month and never got tired of it. Walking through the streets of Harajuku and Shibuya was like entering another dimension of color, kawaii, lolita, and goth fashion.
After living in Japan for several years and moving back to America, we missed all the awesome goodies available there. America lacks supply of diverse, kawaii items, yet demand is high. There is no easy way to get access to all the awesome exclusive items in Japan… So we started Chibi Monster with my friends overseas.
Chibi Monster’s goal is to keep the love of kawaii culture, anime, and video games alive by offering kawaii goodies from Japan to people all over the world.
